Who is guiding:

My name is Virginia Rosenberg. I am a Gemini Sun, Leo Moon/Rising in Western Astrology and an Earth Dragon in Chinese Astrology. Since 2010, I have been in practice as an intuitive astrologer for social change. I have performed thousands of readings and taught hundreds of classes, workshops, and retreats (combined) for people worldwide. Also since 2010, I have been living in the mountains of land now named Asheville, North Carolina. These are occupied lands formerly stewarded by Tsalaguwetiyi (Eastern Band of Cherokee) and S’atsoyaha (Yuchi). I am descended from Hungarian-Romanian (Transylvanian) Jews and French, German, and British settler colonists. I am white-bodied, cisgendered woman. A mother. A writer. A wisdom-gatherer. I trust inquiry, nature, the body, humanness, the more-than-human worlds, and the art of being alive.

The tools I utilize include astrology, embodiment, writing, qi gong, and movement/dance. My educational background includes post-colonial and women’s/gender studies, cultural anthropology, journalism, musical theater and performance, queer femme comedy, documentary filmmaking, Taoist philosophy, internal martial arts, and myriad forms of dance.

Philosophy of Relating:

This philosophy is greatly informed by the work of James-Olivia Chu Hillman.

Recreating culture and sustainable lifeways depends on reinventing relationships. Many of us have been conditioned into harmful ways of relating to uphold systems of supremacy. We acknowledge and embrace the learning curve required to rebuild relevant community based in regard and responsibility. We are learning and practicing together in real time.

Conflict inevitably arises. Rather than avoid it, we invite one another to practice confrontation. Confrontation means “to face together.” We hold it as a priority to cultivate nurturing, resilient relationships through sharing truths and connecting through difference. Wherever we can, we agree to respond to troubles with curiosity, self-sovereignty, and commitment to repair.
